In this key leadership role, you'll partner with medical directors, physicians, and senior leaders to coordinate Nursing Services and strengthen the delivery of care across UC Health. Drawing on your clinical expertise, advanced education, and leadership experience, you'll identify innovative ways to enhance quality, efficiency, and operational effectiveness. You'll also help build strong partnerships between physicians and hospital departments, aligning people and resources to improve the patient experience and support a seamless continuum of care.
Responsibilities
Division Quality Assurance: Assure progression toward defined quality outcomes, patient and family satisfaction, cost-effectiveness, and systems efficiency.
Cooperation: Promotes a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
Division Staff Management: Recruit, retain and motivate a competent, professional, service-oriented staff that can meet stringent established legal and professional criteria.
Enterprise Unification: Serves as unifying and integrating force to achieve Perioperative Services metrics and goals throughout the system.
Division Strategic Planning: Participates the Perioperative Strategic Plan in conjunction with the Perioperative governance structure and all associated surgical chairs and system administration in support of UC Health's strategic plan.
Division Performance Management: Develops and monitors the performance improvement programs in conjunction with the medical directors and program managers. This includes data collection, analysis, trending, and maintenance of the committee structures supporting the programs.
Enterprise Networking: Establishes effective networks with colleagues throughout the UC Health System.
Compliance Management: Ensures institutional and system compliance with all regulatory requirements to maintain verification/accreditation status.
Staff Development: Manages the Perioperative Services staff through effective communication and allocation of resources, establishment and assessment of performance goals, and provision of educational opportunities for ongoing development.
Division Budget Management: Prepares and manages the Perioperative Services budget in conjunction with institutional and departmental business directors/managers.
Collaboration: Collaborates with the physicians and other health care professions to provide clinical and system oversight for the care of the patients in each service team. Ensuring provision of efficient, quality care that is cost effective.
Community Care Advancements: Participates and represents administration in community boards, agencies, or projects that compliment hospital mission and goals. Responsible for planning and implementing strategies that improve the quality of health care delivery to the community.
Operational Support Management: Oversee operational support needs for: information services, telecommunications, facilities and space management, purchasing, personnel and development and implementation of manpower, planning, and management/development of programs to meet organization goals.
Qualifications
Minimum Required: Masters Degree (MSN, MHA, or similar field). | Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio. BLS. Certification in specialty area required. | Greater than 3 years of nursing leadership.
