Full Job Description
Indiana University Health Medical Group- Metro Region has a career opportunity for a Psychiatry Physician Assistant or Psychiatry Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join their Post-Stroke Depression Clinic at Goodman Hall in Indianapolis.

This role will be part of a newly established outpatient multidisciplinary care team, working collaboratively with Neurology and Psychiatry physicians, as well as other clinical support staff

Position Details:
  • Full-Time
  • Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
  • No Call
  • 100% outpatient
  • General population: adult patients who have had strokes, mix of general psychiatry as well
  • Patient volume: 50/week
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive care for adult patients who have experienced a stroke and subsequently developed depressive disorders
  • Conduct psychiatric and physical assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, diagnose mental health conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Treatment may include psychotropic medication management, individual and group psychotherapy, patient and family education, and other evidence-based supportive interventions
  • Play a key role in delivering integrated, patient-centered care to support recovery, emotional well-being, and overal quality of life
Requirements:
  • Seeking experienced psychiatry PAs or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners only
  • At least two years of experience in Mental Health as an RN or APP is required
