Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
• Minimum of three years of professional nursing experience in a clinical setting.
• Minimum of two years of Nurse Practitioner experience.
• Current Georgia Registered Nurse license required.
• Current Georgia Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license with prescriptive authority needed.
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
• Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic tests for accurate diagnoses.
• Prescribe medications and treatments per evidence-based guidelines.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Maintain timely documentation in the electronic medical record (HealthConnect).
• Collaborate with neurologists and healthcare professionals for coordinated care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical guideline development.
