What You'll Do
Performing physical exams and patient observations
Recording patients' medical histories and symptoms
Creating patient care plans and contributing to existing ones
Ordering and analyzing diagnostic tests
Diagnosing health issues
Detecting changes in patients' health and modifying treatment plans, as needed
Educating patients and their families to manage and prevent illness and injury
Collaborates with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of the patients
What We're Looking For
Master's degree from an accredited nursing program
APN authorization in Ohio to practice in family health by the Board of Nurse Examiners
Prescriptive authorization
Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records and information systems
A sound understanding of all pertinent federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA
