Nurse Manager for Unit II to join our Long-Term Care team.

The Nurse Manager provides leadership and oversight for Unit II, ensuring the delivery of
safe, high-quality, compassionate resident care while supporting staff development, regulatory compliance, teamwork, and an exceptional resident and family experience.
What You'll Do- Provide daily clinical and operational leadership for Unit II.
- Lead and support RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and unit support staff.
- Promote safe, compassionate, and resident-centered nursing care.
- Foster a positive environment built on teamwork, respect, accountability, and communication.
- Support recruitment, orientation, education, development, and retention of nursing staff.
- Monitor staffing and allocate resources effectively to meet resident care needs.
- Collaborate with residents, families, physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Promote quality improvement, resident safety, and positive clinical outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with New York State Department of Health requirements and organizational policies.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective interventions.
- Encourage staff empowerment, professional growth, and continued education.
- Serve as a visible and supportive leader for the Unit II team.
- Promote dignity, respect, professionalism, and an exceptional resident experience.
- Effectively manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with facility leadership.
What We're Looking ForRequired:- Graduate of an accredited Registered Professional Nursing program.
- Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience OR 2 years of long-term care experience.
- Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively with residents, families, staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Knowledge of nursing management systems and processes.
- Familiarity with New York State Department of Health requirements.
- Basic computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations.
Preferred:- Previous nursing management or leadership experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or related field.
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Meditech.
