Position SummaryPlans, organizes, gives direction, and assists in all administrative and managerial aspects of an assigned nursing area.
Job DescriptionPrimary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Directs, analyzes and evaluates nursing and related services rendered to improve the quality of patient care and plan proper utilization of staff.
- Advises and assists in administering new treatments, assisting physicians with providing health care to patients.
- Facilitates educational opportunities for staff to ensure compliance with medical school and regulatory guidelines.
- Coordinates patient services with other departments and hospitals.
- Monitors staff development and performs a variety of administrative duties, including job descriptions, job applications, interviews, personnel evaluations, employee work schedules, time records, etc.
- Coordinates billing/insurance activities, monitors documentation, compliance and charge maximization.
- Prepares reports as needed, records maintenance, provides input on the departmental budget and operations and offers areas for improvement.
- Participates in continued professional development, attending educational programs, in-service and meetings as needed.
- Promotes and maintains good public relations with patients/families and acts as a liaison between other departments.

Salary Range$89,700.00 - $161,500.00 / Annually
