Job Description

What you'll do as a

  • Nuclear Engineer: Work within an energetic team environment to perform analyses to support a variety of applications including BWR reload analysis, power uprate and new power plant analyses. Learn the fundamental bases of nuclear power plant operations and safety analysis by applying state-of-the-art thermal hydraulics methods to satisfy licensing requirements and solve real day-to-day plant problems. Work directly with customers through training, deliverables, and collaboration. Create and/or improve cutting-edge automation and methods. The individual may lead a variety of projects including technical evaluations and analyses in the area of plant transients, thermal hydraulics, stability, radiological, LOCA, reload analysis, and more (varies by specific team).
  • Mechanical Engineer: Work on component design or analysis to support new reactor/equipment development and existing fleet support. Mechanical Engineers may create and develop design concepts, provide procurement support, perform mechanical analysis such as FEA, and generate drawings, CAD models, specifications, and design basis documentation as required. Component design work must be performed as governed by ASME Section III codes and standards. Individual must also perform independent verification of design work ensuring strict procedure adherence.
  • I&C Engineer: Work with a team which may be responsible for Plant Electrical Design, I&C Systems design, I&C Hardware design, and/or I&C Software design. Deliver high-quality engineering software and/or prepare design specifications, electronic designs (including PLD/FPGA designs), perform simulation/module testing, and integration testing of the design (varies by specific team).
  • Systems Engineer: Work with various engineering teams, project/product stakeholders, partner organizations and suppliers to successfully deliver a new plants project as well as support existing fleets. Be part of a team working on integrating and coordinating multi-discipline activities to support the safe and economically superior reactor designs by employing a balance of cutting edge and proven technologies.
  • Civil/Structural Engineer: Support civil systems design and equipment construction activities, including responding to supplier questions and evaluating deviation requests. Execute assigned civil and structural engineering work in line with project budgets, schedules, and quality expectations.
  • Computer Science/Software Engineer: Support the design and release of engineering support software/systems and process improvements as related to engineering software development and lab infrastructure. Work with team members to develop revisions to testing systems, infrastructure and processes. Automate software build testing and deployment.

  • Must be willing to work in Markham, Ontario, Canada. Remote considered on a case-by-case basis.
