Job Description:

MaineGeneral Medical Center is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Emergency Department in Augusta, ME.  In this role the APP will be responsible for performing front-end, rapid evaluations of patients in conjunction with the triage nurse to facilitate care.  The experienced candidate must be able to make rapid decisions about care. 

  • Join a team of 20 physicians and 7 physician assistants

  • 24/7 Emergency Department with an annual volume of 55,000 patients

  • Schedule consists of 4, 8-hour shifts per week

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of an accredited APP program

  • Active Maine Advanced Practitioner's license

  • BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience, preferably in an ED setting
