A day in your life with us As Climate & Nature Business Partner, North America, you will lead this strategic agenda across the United States and Canada and help integrate climate, waste and nature priorities into operational performance, resilience and long-term business planning. You will work across country teams and functions to build alignment, strengthen accountability and enable better decisions that reduce environmental impact while supporting the business. You will help the organization move forward on key topics such as emissions reduction, zero waste operations, resource efficiency, renewable investments, zero-emission deliveries and biodiversity. You will bring strategic perspective and practical leadership to ensure these priorities are embedded into how the business plans, invests and performs. What you'll be doing day to day: • Lead the Climate, Zero-waste & Nature agenda across North America, ensuring alignment between sustainability ambition, operational priorities and local market execution. • Partner with business leaders and country teams to integrate climate, waste and nature priorities into business plans, governance, performance follow-up and investment decisions. • Drive initiatives that support emissions reduction across operations and value chain activities, in line with business and sustainability goals. • Support the transition toward zero waste operations and stronger resource efficiency across stores, facilities and broader operations. • Contribute to the development of plans related to renewable energy and heating and cooling solutions, zero-emission deliveries and more sustainable customer and co-worker travel. • Strengthen the integration of nature and biodiversity considerations into business practices and long-term planning. • Use fact-based analysis, KPIs and risk-based insights to prioritize actions, track progress and support transparent decision-making. • Influence and collaborate with global stakeholders across Ingka and Inter IKEA to help shape agendas and accelerate implementation. • Build capability and understanding across the business through communication, training and cross-functional partnership. • Act as a spokesperson and subject matter expert for Climate & Nature in internal and external forums across North America. • Contribute to the totality of the sustainability agenda, including topics such as retail topic reviews, competence building and integrated business planning. About this work area Climate & Nature is a core part of IKEA's ambition to create a better everyday life for the many people with a significantly lower environmental footprint.
