Position Overview

Central Maine Medical Center is seeking aBoard-Certified/Board-Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physicianto join ourNocturnal Hospitalist team. This is an excellent opportunity to practice high-quality inpatient medicine in a collaborative, patient-centered environment while enjoying a flexible nocturnist schedule.

• Patient Volume: Manageable nightly census with dedicated support

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient care during overnight hours

• Admit patients from the emergency department

• Cross-cover and manage existing hospitalized patients

• Respond to overnight clinical changes and rapid responses

• Collaborate with nursing staff, specialists, and care teams

• Ensure thorough documentation and effective handoffs

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited program

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

• Eligible for or active Maine medical license

• Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills

Pay Transparency

Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $336,000 to $378,000. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
