In this direct hire position as a Neuroscience Specialty Representative, you will be an integral part of a nationwide sales team developing and managing the assigned territory. This position will contribute to Ipsen's overall sales objectives by performing assigned sales-related activities. The Neuroscience Sales Representative will convey to healthcare providers (HCPs), and pharmacist's information, services, and products that will enable HCPs to use and prescribe Ipsen's products safely and effectively with appropriate patients. The ideal candidate will be capable of managing the territory and administrative requirements in an efficient manner and will achieve full compliance with drug laws, regulations, and Ipsen policies when communicating information about, or providing samples of, Ipsen's products to HCPs.
  • Attain the designated goals for calls on appropriate HCPs to communicate balanced, accurate, and complete information on Ipsen's products
  • Execute calls on HCPs and pharmacists to provide product information and to assure the availability of Ipsen's products in the territory
  • Conduct in-depth conversations with physicians and other HCPs utilizing multiple data sets across a broad base of approved product indications
  • Navigate through complex organization structures including hospitals and healthcare communities
  • Manage the territory in an efficient and orderly manner, ascribing principles of key HCP/account prioritization, daily call reporting, and sample accountability. Develop and execute effective business plans
  • Demonstrate completion of administrative requirements including budget management, logins, sample accounting, expense reports etc. within timelines and company guidelines
  • Comply with all state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines including the PhRMA Code on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals as well as complying with all Ipsen's standards and policies relating to all job activities

Essential Requirements:
  • B.S. or B.A. degree required
  • 3+ years of experience as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative
  • Experience in neuroscience area is strongly preferred
  • Experience promoting preventive treatments for migraine preferred
  • Experience promoting toxins for therapeutic indications preferred
  • Ability to manage promoting pharmaceutical products in a buy-and-bill environment is preferred
  • Health education experience is a strong asset
  • Academic background in healthcare is a strong asset
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to build strong relationships
  • Ability to travel as needed for business
  • Computer proficiency is required

Other:
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record are required (no more than three moving violation convictions within the past three years).

The annual base salary range for this position is $148,000 - $180,000
