Position Information:
LPG - Neurohospitalist is seeking a full-time, board-eligible or board-certified Neurologist to join our busy inpatient practice covering Lee Health's acute care hospitals. This service works in close collaboration with our outpatient neurology clinics to deliver high-quality, coordinated care to the community. The position features a sustainable block schedule of 7 days on and 7 days off managing inpatient care, with additional opportunities to work in the outpatient clinic during scheduled weeks off if desired. Ideal candidates will have a strong interest in general inpatient neurology and acute stroke care, and the position offers an excellent quality of life with no designated stroke call responsibilities.
Hospital Summary:
Gulf Coast Medical Center is a 699-bed acute care facility in Fort Myers, Florida, that houses the region's premier Neuroscience Institute. As a certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, the hospital features a dedicated neuroscience intensive care unit and offers 24/7 access to emergency care, including advanced, minimally invasive catheter stroke procedures.
The facility is a cornerstone of Lee Health, which features the region's only Level II Trauma Center and DNV-Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center. Lee Health's stroke network also extends to two certified Primary Stroke Centers located at Cape Coral Hospital and Lee Memorial Hospital.
Lee Memorial Hospital is a 362-bed Level II Trauma Center that has served Lee County and its surrounding areas for more than a century. In addition to providing a 24/7 emergency department, Lee Memorial houses the system's specialized Rehabilitation Hospital to ensure a seamless recovery continuum for patients.
