OverviewWe have an exciting opportunity at the Department of State! The Network Operations Lead is responsible for the implementation and evolution of the network and supporting systems supporting the global network infrastructure for the customer.
Responsbilities:
- You will participate in high-level enterprise architecture analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and development across the global network (LAN, WAN, CAN, VLAN).
- You will lead a group of network operations engineers and analysts and ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews enterprise architecture deliverables You must apply high-level business and technical principles and methods to very difficult technical problems to arrive at creative engineering solutions.
- You will make recommendations to management on desirable network solutions and opportunities.
- You will be required to research, evaluate and document new products and tools.
- You serve as a troubleshooter on complex network problems on all Tier 2 and incident tickets of all priorities.
- You will perform complex engineering, security design, implementation and maintenance tasks on Unified Communications Systems.
- You will research, evaluate and approve hardware and software solutions for complex problems and solutions.
- Additionally, you will be expected to execute complex implementation plans for network/system upgrades.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
The following are the education and experience required for this position:
- 8+ years
- Bachelor's in IT or related field
- CCNP Certification
- Secret Security Clearance
