Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or 7+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
• 5 years of experience in network engineering, security, and architecture or 7 years minimum experience in lieu of a degree.
• DoD 8570 IAT II certification required.
• Experience in datacenter network design, including Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Strong familiarity with TCP/IP, routing, switching protocols, and L2/L3 protocols.
• Experience with Cisco and Juniper network equipment, as well as virtualization products like VMWare.
• Familiarity with the Atlassian Tool Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide network support for High Performance Computing (HPC) systems.
• Design and architecture of network systems and security boundaries.
• Install and configure networking hardware such as routers and switches.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network systems for performance and security issues.
• Utilize ticketing systems to track and resolve networking tasks efficiently.
• Implement and manage firewalls and network access controls.
• Ensure compliance with on-call support requirements in a live environment.
