Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer to design, implement, manage, and maintain a secure and reliable network infrastructure that supports our organization's operations and future growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in network architecture, configuration, and security, coupled with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. This role entails a combination of hands-on technical work and strategic planning to ensure maximum network performance, availability, and security. Additionally, the Network Engineer will play a critical role in troubleshooting network issues, optimizing system functionality, and supporting the integration of advanced technologies, including cloud-based and hybrid solutions. Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute network designs, expansions, and enhancements to support business needs
  • Configure, install, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.)
  • Implement and manage network segmentation, VLANs, and IP address allocation
  • Proactively monitor network performance, uptime, and security using network monitoring tools
  • Ensure maximum network reliability and availability by identifying and resolving issues promptly
  • Conduct regular performance tuning, adjustments, and maintenance to ensure the optimal operation of the network
  • Implement and maintain firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and other security appliances
  • Collaborate with IT Security teams to ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and best practices
  • Perform regular security risk assessments and system penetration testing
  • Provide Level 2/3 support for network-related incidents and escalate complex issues as needed
  • Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring technical incidents
  • Document solutions, create standard operating procedures, and maintain network topology diagrams
  • Partner with cross-functional IT teams to identify and deploy cybersecurity and networking solutions
  • Support project teams with network infrastructure planning for new applications and services
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 4 years of experience may replace a completed degree
  • 2 years of Proven experience as a Network Engineer, or in a similar role
  • Proficiency in configuring, operating, and troubleshooting enterprise-grade networking equipment (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto)
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark, Nagios)
  • Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, and advanced network security practices
  • Familiarity with cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid network environments

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIS, or equivalent
  • Experience implementing SD-WAN solutions
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Knowledge of scripting/automation (e.g., Python, Shell scripts, Ansible) for network automation
  • Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) and experience working in ITIL-driven environments
