Full Job Description
The Senior Wireless Network Engineer is an important role within the CLIENT Network Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in Wireless network design, implementation, and support on an
enterprise level. In addition, the person will be responsible for maintaining Wireless authentication systems such as Cisco Client, Radius servers, 802.1x Security/NAC policies, and Wireless network management platforms. The
position requires the candidate to be self-motivated and forward-thinking in helping to lead CLIENT towards next-gen Wireless technology.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Direct vendors in performing RF surveys to generate optimal Wireless coverage designs for CLIENT sites
• Lead next-gen Wireless solutions to increase mobility for IOT devices
• Generate Wireless Access Point footprint designs based on RF surveys
• Configure and Deploy Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC) based on scaling for optimal design and performance
• Create Wireless networks (SSID's) based on standard use cases (Corporate, BYOD, and Guest services)
• Design and implement "traffic tunneling" to segregate traffic between local and remote/anchor WLC's.
• Create and maintain a self-service portal for Guest Wireless service
• Provide expertise in analyzing and troubleshooting Wireless performance issues as needed
• Utilize Cisco Client platform to configure and manage Wireless User authentication, 802.1x Security/NAC policies, Radius servers, and Guest wireless administration.
• Migration from Cisco Prime management platform to Cisco DNA or other next-gen Wireless management platform
• Lead the effort in designing a Network Access Control (NAC) solution
• Generate Wireless performance and usage metrics to aid in capacity management.
• Align to timeline of project teams in completing designs, procurement of hardware, and configuration to meet business needs for Wi-Fi services

THE PERSON
• Highly skilled in Wireless network design and implementation (Cisco experience preferred)
• Proven ability to manage complex wireless infrastructure supporting production sites.
• Ability to generate Access Point designs based on RF or predictive surveys
• Strong experience with Cisco Client Wireless authentication management platform, as well as Cisco Prime.
• Expertise in Wireless performance analysis and troubleshooting
• Experience in creating Guest Wireless self-service portal
• Solid understanding of routing/traffic flows across core network elements such as network switches, Firewalls, etc.
• Experience designing and implementing NAC solutions
• Knowledge of Cisco DNA and VPN infrastructure
• Minimum 7 years experience in Wireless Network Engineering/support
• The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and and forward thinking
• Bachelor's degree in a related technical area or equivalent experience
• Wireless Network certification preferred
