Job Title:
Network Engineer — Collaboration & Enterprise Connectivity
Company:
Prologis
A day in the life
As a Network Engineer — Collaboration & Enterprise Connectivity, you will help deliver secure, reliable enterprise connectivity and production-ready voice and conference room experiences across Prologis. You will serve as a technical partner to office leaders, workplace teams, employees, and vendors, supporting Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Poly, and the network and security infrastructure behind them. You will design and operate LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, SD-WAN, and Palo Alto security solutions while supporting global locations with differing carrier, latency, regulatory, and connectivity requirements. You will also modernize how the team works by creating repeatable standards and using CLI, APIs, automation, and AI where they improve operational effectiveness, with engineers remaining accountable for production outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, standardize, and support enterprise collaboration environments across Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Poly, including audio, video, room controls, one-touch join, scheduling, voice services, and the underlying network connectivity.
- Own conference room readiness and acceptance, validating audio performance, camera coverage, content sharing, meeting-join reliability, calendar integration, and supporting as-built documentation before rooms enter production.
- Serve as a technical partner to office leaders, workplace teams, employees, and vendors for room technology, voice, and site connectivity, including support for high-visibility meetings and complex technical issues.
- Design, operate, secure, and troubleshoot enterprise connectivity across LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, internet, VPN, and SD-WAN environments using technologies including Palo Alto, Cisco switching, Meraki, and Netskope.
- Design and support secure global connectivity, including locations such as China and Japan where carrier options, latency, regulation, and cross-border network paths require deliberate technical solutions.
- Investigate incidents through root cause, reduce recurring failures, and maintain accurate network diagrams, standards, runbooks, inventories, and as-built documentation.
- Modernize network and collaboration operations by automating repeatable work through Python, vendor CLIs, APIs, and AI tools; establish standards and mentor team members so production changes are consistent, reviewable, and repeatable.
Building blocks for success
Required:
- 5+ years of enterprise network design and operations experience.
- Experience with TCP/IP, routing and switching, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, wireless networking, VPNs, and QoS for real-time voice and video traffic.
- Experience administering Palo Alto or equivalent enterprise firewall technologies.
- Experience supporting Cisco switching, Meraki, and SD-WAN or comparable modern WAN technologies.
- Experience supporting Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Poly/Polycom room and voice environments from endpoint through network connectivity.
- Experience taking conference rooms from technical design through acceptance testing, documentation, and production support.
- Ability to work effectively with office employees, business leaders, workplace partners, technical teams, and external vendors.
- Experience using CLI, APIs, scripting, or automation to execute repeatable infrastructure work, including Python, vendor APIs, AI tools, or comparable technologies.
- Experience developing and maintaining technical standards, runbooks, diagrams, and as-built documentation and supporting planned maintenance and incidents across time zones.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting international network environments, including higher-latency or regulated locations.
- Experience with Netskope or another SASE platform in a production environment.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 room accounts, calendar integration, or conditional access.
- CCNA, CCNP, PCNSE, Zoom or Microsoft Teams voice/rooms certification, AVIXA CTS, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with cloud networking, zero-trust architecture, or infrastructure-as-code.
- Demonstrates willingness and capability to leverage emerging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and speed. Exercises sound judgment, creative thinking, and accountability for outcomes.
Hiring Salary Range of: $83,000 - $114,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target & LTI (Long Term Incentives) to be determined by the candidate’s location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
