What you'll be doing...- Act as the main field liaison between Empire City Subway/Verizon, municipal agencies, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- You'll work with cross functional teams including Engineering, Customer Service Center and Contract Administration to plan, organize, schedule and control all mainline and entrance projects within the force to load guidelines.
- Managing a team of contractor employees.
- Prioritizing workload based on due dates and customer requirements.
- Tracking jobs budgets, status, and accomplishments including the close out of completed jobs.
- Maintaining productivity and cost reports.
- Completing quality inspections and daily time reporting for all direct reports.

You'll need to have:- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or four or more years of work experience.
- Knowledge of methods of municipal construction including excavation, trenching, sheeting.
- Comprehensive understanding of municipal engineering and interference.
- Thorough knowledge of NYC Municipal & Utility Regulatory Knowledge, CET, Section U, and Joint Bidding.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Ability to work with municipal officials, construction superintendents, and professional engineers.
- Strong negotiation, communication and cost estimating skills.
- Experience administering processes and policies as they relate to: safety, attendance, performance work rules and code of conduct.
- Experience with communication systems and tools.
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel
Even better if you have one or more of the following:- Professional Engineer experience.
- Knowledge of installation and maintenance on copper or fiber technology.
- Supervisory experience in a field operations environment.
- Experience in administering processes and policies as they relate to: safety, attendance, performance work rules and code of conduct.
- Experience providing training, feedback and motivation to employees.
- Strong organizational, time-priority management and results oriented leadership skills.
- Knowledge of employment/labor laws.
- Team management experience.
- Customer service experience.
- Proven ability to interpret labor contracts/collective bargaining agreements.
- Experience with outside plant construction, electronics and placing/splicing copper/fiber.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
The annual salary range for the New York location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $82,000.00 - $134,000.00.
