Neonatologist Opportunity - Coastal Virginia (Just One Hour from the Atlantic Ocean!)

Responsibilities

Pediatrix is seeking a Board-Certified Neonatologist to join our growing team at Mary Immaculate Hospital in Newport News, Virginia. This established practice includes three neonatologists and two NNPs, providing high-quality care in a collaborative environment.

Position Highlights
  • 8-bed Level IIIA NICU with an active newborn service
  • 1,800 annual deliveries and increasing
  • Exciting future expansion: a new 47,000 sq. ft. BirthPlace, including a relocated NICU with 13 single-occupancy NICU beds
  • Responsibilities include prenatal consultations, NICU and newborn coverage, and delivery attendance
  • Balanced coverage model with a mix of in-house and at-home call, supported by experienced NNPs and PAs
  • Each neonatologist covers one-third of monthly shifts, allowing for flexible scheduling and a healthy work-life balance
  • Opportunities available for quality improvement initiatives, administrative roles, and regional collaboration
  • Leadership experience preferred
