Job Summary and Responsibilities

Depending on your location, you may be eligible for up to $8,000 in relocation assistance!

 

As our Neonatal Manager Flight Operations you will lead and innovate within a critical aeromedical transport environment, ensuring operational excellence and clinical proficiency across all flight teams. You will champion patient safety, drive continuous quality improvement, and foster a high-performance culture foundational to our emergency medical services (EMS), optimizing resource allocation for maximum impact.

 

Every day you will empower a team of dedicated Flight RNs and ancillary staff through comprehensive staff development, specialized continuing education, and robust clinical orientation. You'll be instrumental in budget management, policy implementation, and ensuring operational consistency across all bases, overseeing clinical competencies and performance metrics to shape patient outcomes within our air medical program.

 

To be successful in this role, you will possess a proven track record as a Neonatal Flight R.N. with advanced clinical skills and a deep understanding of prehospital and critical care protocols. You'll demonstrate exceptional leadership abilities for team motivation and collaboration, with expertise in curriculum development, performance appraisal, and compliance monitoring within an aviation medical services setting.

  • Oversees continuing education program with assistance of Clinical Leadership Team, insures and coordinates validations of clinical competencies, including skills and critical thinking.
  • With the Clinical Leadership Team, designs and monitors quality and performance indicators, including data collection tools and processes for collection.
  • Assists Program Director in identifying staffing needs, interviewing and hiring.
  • Designs, implements and evaluates continuing education of staff.
  • Chairs the Clinical Leadership Team: sets meeting agenda, contributes QI monitor information and coordinates action plans with the Medical Director.
  • Maintains constructive relationships with staff members.
Job Requirements

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

 

Required

  • 5 years minimum active flight/ground transport experience; Involvement on local, regional or national levels of medical transport associations
  • CMTE (Certified Medical Transport Executive) required within 3 years of  hire/transfer date 
  • Valid Driver’s License and pass the annual Pre-Check review of their driving record for safe vehicle operations
  • Bachelor Degree in Nursing
  • Registered Nurse license 
  • Certified Flight RN 
  • Must maintain currency in all certifications required by CAMTS (Commission for Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems)
  • Experience in a leadership role  

 

Preferred

  • Master Degree - MS-MSN preferred
