Job Title: NDT/NDE Engineer

Working Pattern: Fulltime

Working location: Indianapolis, IN

The NDT Engineer will develop, define, and control, NDT processes and procedures. The position may support internal production, development, suppliers, or customers.

What you will be doing

With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:
  • Performs NDT Engineering activities including technique development and approval for internal operations and Rolls-Royce suppliers
  • Performs NDT activities associated with SABRe requirements related to supplier approval and control.
  • Provides technical leadership, training, and guidance for Level II NDT inspectors.
  • Interfaces with manufacturing supervision, manufacturing engineering, design engineering, to ensure complete and timely solutions.
  • Develops new NDT processes, transitions emerging technologies into production, and ensures continuous improvement through effective lessons learned, knowledge capture, and process development.
  • Will be expected to work towards and achieve LIII certification in at least two NDT methods

Basic Requirements:
  • Associates Degree in an engineering or science field with 2+ years of engineering and manufacturing experience in the aerospace industry, OR
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or science field, OR
  • High School Degree with NDT Level II Certification (Any method)
  • Must be a US Citizen


Preferred Requirements:
  • NAS 410 or EN4179, certified in IR, CT, or Immersion UT.
  • Experience or academic courses in NDT methods
  • Have a basic knowledge of relevant aerospace manufacturing and inspection technology
  • Familiar with Rolls-Royce processes, procedures, and specifications
  • A demonstrated history of ensuring continuous improvement
  • Experience providing technical oversite and leadership to others
  • Experience working in a union represented environment
  • Experience working on a team to collaboratively solve problems
