Full Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY:

The successful candidate willbe responsible for:

  • Maintaining and writing newglobalnon-destructive testing (NDE)procedures.SupportingFlowservesites with NDEquestionsand answeringexternal customer questions requiring NDEexpertise.Ensuring compliancewith industry standards, customer specifications, and Flowserve's quality requirements.

PRIMARY RESPONSBILITIES

  • Maintaining and writing global NDEProcedures, acceptance criteria, and techniques.

  • StandardizeHigh-QualityNDEoperations across Flowserve9s various manufacturing locations.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, regulations, and customer specifications governing NDEprocesses and procedures.

  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality control teams to resolve any NDE-related issues or discrepanciesidentifiedand escalated tothe GES Materials team.

  • Provide training and guidance to personnel involved in NDEactivities to enhance their skills, knowledge, andproficiencyin NDEtechniques and procedures.

  • Operateas the global NDECertificationAuthority.

  • Stay abreast of industry developments, advancements in NDEtechnology, and changes in regulatory requirements related to NDEpractices.

  • Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures, and regulations governing NDEoperations to ensure the safety of personnel, equipment, and the work environment.

  • Promote a culture of safety awareness, hazard identification, and risk mitigation across the organization.

  • Supporting escalated Vendor NDEQuality concerns that require a subject matter expert to review.

  • Supporting escalated Customer NDEQuality concerns that require a subject matter expert to review.

SECONDARYRESPONSBILITIES

  • Operate as a support function to NDEpersonnel conductinginspections of incoming materials, fabricated components, and finished products to verify conformity to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.

  • Operate as a support function to NDEpersonnel performingvarious NDEtechniques, such as ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle testing (MT), dye penetrant testing (PT), radiographic testing (RT), and visual inspection (VT), to detect and evaluate defects, flaws, or abnormalities in materials and components.

  • Operate as a support function to NDEpersonnel interpretingNDEresults and data todeterminethe presence, size, location, and severity of defects, and make recommendations for further evaluation or corrective action as needed.

  • Supportingthe enterprise whenVendor NDEProcedureReviewsarerequired byan NDELevel3.

  • Supportingquality audit teamonVendor NDEProgram Reviewswhere subject matterexpertiseor documentation review isrequested.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE,SKILLSAND ABILITIES

  • MinimumCertification of Level III intheNDEmethodsofradiographic testing (RT)andultrasonic testing (UT). (e.g., ASNT Level III certification)

  • MinimumCertification of Level III in 2 ofthe3followingNDE methods (Magnetic particle testing (MT), dye penetrant testing (PT),andvisual inspection (VT)with willingness to move up to Level III inthemethod not already certified at Level III. (e.g., ASNT Level III certification).

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in NDEinspection, quality assurance, or related field, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Proficiencyin interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to accurately evaluate and interpret NDEresults.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information clearly and concisely.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • Bachelor9s degree in engineering, materials science, or a related field (preferred)

  • Nuclear Industry Experience

  • ANDE-1 Certification
