National Manager of Paralegal Services position in our New York or White Plains Office.

This position offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement.

The Position

The National Manager of Paralegal Services provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and management for a nationwide team of over 330 paralegals across the country. This role reports to the Director of Legal Operations and is responsible for scaling paralegal utilization, standardizing nationwide workflows, implementing multi-level talent development, and training program, and driving operational efficiency. This is a hybrid role based out of our New York or White Plains Office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enterprise Leadership: Oversight of a nationwide paralegal support infrastructure of 300+ paralegals across 46 offices.
  • Resource Optimization: Drive operational efficiency by monitoring nationwide utilization rates, balancing office workloads, and analyzing requests for additional new hires to ensure individual teams are properly supported while firm operational goals are met.
  • Technology & Process Standardization: Review current workflows for process efficiency and standardization. Leverage technology to continuously improve paralegal workflows and processes across the firm.
  • Talent Strategy: Develop a program utilizing a multi-tiered approach for internal paralegal certifications across the firm based on knowledge and skill set. Develop programs for paralegal education, professional development, and career paths within the firm.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure nationwide adherence to regional billing compliance guidelines, multi-jurisdictional court rules, data privacy laws, and strict ethical standards.

Qualifications
  • Experience: 7+ years of legal management experience. A proven track record of leading large, multi-office, or nationwide teams.
  • Technical Mastery: Executive-level familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, document management systems, resource planning, and workflow tools. Familiarity with iManage and Jira a plus.
  • Legal Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of broad-scale litigation workflows and support.
  • Leadership Skills: Exceptional capability in remote team building, change management, and building consensus across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required. Advanced training in Business Administration or Process Improvement analysis and implementation a plus.

Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. This position is considered full-time and therefore qualifies for benefits including 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

Salary Range:

$135,000-$160,000 USD
