Job DescriptionNational Business Sr. Manager (NBM)What you will doThe National Business Sr. Manager (NBM) works in close partnership with the Executive Director (ED), Sales & Key Accounts to achieve strong sales execution in alignment with the brand strategy. This is primarily achieved by identifying unique performance and execution trends as well as geo-specific opportunities, using data to fully characterize these as well as to assess progress over time. In this way, the NBM enables enhanced focus for NSD, RSDs, and DMs in terms of driving results, coaching, & development.
- Level 6 home office-based (remote) role reporting to ED, Sales & Key Accounts
- Member of field leadership team
Below is a description of various core responsibilities:- Partner with internal analytics team to translate brand priorities and observations into actionable steps for the field
- Support ED, Sales & Key Accounts in aligning field direction with brand and corporate strategy
- Provide analytical support in identifying local business opportunities, assist in outlining tactics, and provide any KPI support needed to assess progress
- Partner with Sales Planner (SPO) and cross functional partners to suggest changes to analytic tools to simplify information to improve usage and effectiveness as needed
- Provide input & partner with IC team on analytics for the national IC plan and IC contests
- Leverage Vision reporting tools to monitor pull-through progress and opportunities
- Interpret data and trends within specific geographies in order to highlight specific brand performance opportunities
- Support national engagement related to analytics

Basic QualificationsDoctorate degree and 2 years of Sales/Marketing experience
OR
Master's degree and 6 years of Sales/Marketing experience
OR
Bachelor's degree or and 8 years of Sales/Marketing experience
OR
Associate's degree and 10 years of Sales/Marketing experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Sales/Marketing experience
AND
2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources.
Preferred Qualifications- Three + years of specialty sales experience (leadership experience highly preferred)
- Strong sense of responsibility and demonstrated self-discipline
- Demonstrated strong business acumen and analytical skills
- Deep knowledge of Amgen-provided datasets and systems (Vision, Compass/Veeva, etc)
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to leverage market & customer knowledge to strategically target messages, resources, and sales activities
- Ability to recognize and promote success behaviors, as well as diagnose and change unsatisfactory behaviors through effective coaching
- Ability to understand and articulate clinical concepts, data, and conclusions
- Demonstrated success in communicating & collaborating with sales staff, peers, business unit counterparts in an effective and timely manner

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
