Position Summary
The National Account Manager (NAM) is a strategic leadership role responsible for managing and cultivating strong relationships with national and regional client representatives, including construction, maintenance, facilities teams, and operations/management teams. This position is vital for driving growth and profitability, ensuring both client satisfaction and organizational success. The NAM will work across multiple departments to deliver consistent, high-quality service while tailoring solutions to meet client-specific requirements.
Responsibilities
- Build and sustain strong personal connections with key national client representatives through face-to-face interactions, fostering trust and loyalty to strengthen long-term partnerships.
- Foster strong client relationships by leveraging feedback and competitive insights, ensuring we remain their trusted partner for final considerations.
- Develop and implement strategies to manage and grow relationships with National Accountsand theirnational level partners(10,000+ units across 5+ states).
- Secure our position as an authorized vendor with all clientsand ensure our status is current and active.
- Act as the primary point of contact for keynationaldecision-makers within client organizations.
- Create sales plans aligned with organizational goals, including revenue forecasting for national accounts.
- Coordinate with marketingto build an event budget for our national partners.
- Set annual goals based on market availability and location capabilities (10%-20% market share in emerging locations, 25%-75% in established locations).
- Partner with internal teams (local account managers, marketing, estimating, operations, accounting, business development, contracts, and risk management) to ensure client needs align with organizational capabilities.
- Introduce the local partners of national accounts to the Sales Executives in each location.
- Follow up on all proposals to ensure they are submittedand received by the client.Providesupport and expertise for local projects as needed.
- Address client-specific requirements while maintaining overall consistency in service delivery.
- Conduct high-level negotiations to secure favorable contracts for both clients and the organization.
- Vet contracts in collaboration with the risk management team before finalizing agreements.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and client insights to refine strategies and enhance market positioning within the multifamily industry.
- Address and resolve significant issues with national accounts to ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and repeat business.
- Provide accounts receivable support for all national accounts.
- Monitor account performance against established targets and KPIs, adjusting strategies to achieve annual goals.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members (Local Account Managers, Business Development, Estimators) to enhance overall team effectiveness.
- Deliver weekly reports on account status, sales performance, and market conditions during all-sales meetings.

Knowledge, Skills, Ability, Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in account management, preferably with national or regional clients in the multifamily or related industry
- Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in sales planning, forecasting, and market analysis
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities across diverse teams
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction and business retention
- Strong knowledge ofcontracts, risk assessment, and client-specific requirements
- Expertise in roofing, painting, interiors, exteriors, andmitigation/restoration services
- Ability to develop and qualify scopes of work with construction knowledge
- Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM systems
- OSHA certification (or ability to become certified) and familiarity with IICRC standards
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of local construction pricing and regulations (ADA, IBC)
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic, resourcefulness, and attention to detail
- Experiencein negotiating and managing a sale process

- Possess excellent attention to detail
- Ability to make sound decisions that positivelyaffect projectandprofitoutcomes
- Must be ableto travel regionallyand nationally as required, typically 50-75% of the time
- Must be able towork overtime as neededto ensure job success
