Municipal Civil EngineerLocation: Farmington Hills, MI
Employment Type: Full-Time
Working with our Municipal team, you will plan and design on a variety of municipal projects, as well as work with other departments on project proposals.
What You'll Do- Plan and design for water main, sanitary and storm sewer, and road projects for local municipalities.
- Perform design calculations, quantify bid items, develop cost estimates, execute CAD drafting, and prepare reports.
- Specify project-specific technical specifications, standard construction drawings, and Maintenance of Traffic.
- Assist in Bidding and Construction Phase Services on municipal projects including RFIs, shop drawing review, and as-built drawings.
- Work closely with other technical staff from all Fishbeck offices to assist in providing consulting engineering services from state and private universities, municipalities, and local development clients.
- Interact daily with project teams in a multi-discipline and multi-office environment.
What We're Looking For- Successfully passed FE (EIT) Exam.
- Licensed PE is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience with the design of water main, sanitary sewer, and road projects.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
- Experience with the Ohio Department of Transportation (MDOT) Construction and Material Specifications and MDOT's Local Agency Program is a plus.
- Excellent computer and communication skills.
