Full Job Description
Manages more than one functional area in Quality, Reliability, Test, or Inspection. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Responsible for resource allocation, work assignments and establishing/maintaining an effective business rhythm. Responsible for all aspects of quality for assigned area of responsibility. Communicates quality requirements, concerns and expectations. Active participant in risk and opportunity management processes. Ensures cost commitments and financial responsibilities are met. Ensures appropriate identification and flow down of quality requirements (internal and contractual) and effective implementation of quality requirements. Ensures effective implementation of quality management system within area of responsibility. Ensures effective implementation of a metrics program and actively address adverse trends. Ensures product acceptance and delivery per established process and program requirements. Note: This job code will be used for quality personnel that have lead responsibility for a program with one or more quality disciplines.

Basic Qualifications

  • Proven Quality Control/Assurance/Engineering leadership with strong CAPA, root-cause analysis, and Lean/Six-Sigma expertise.
  • Proficiency with aerospace quality standards AS9100, AS9102, AS9103, AS9145
  • Experience applying Earned Value Management.
  • Experience supervising both represented (union) and non-represented workforces.
  • Demonstrated Full Spectrum leader - ability to shape the future, energize the team, deliver results, build effective relationships and be accountable with high integrity and ethics
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Advanced understanding of Quality principles in Aerospace industry


Desired Skills

- Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment

- Experience working with Military, DoD civilian, and DCMA customers

- Demonstrated undestanding of Full- Spectrucm Leadership Imperatives and Culture of Accountability

- Strong business acumen

- Experience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement

- Effective communication skills, i.e., written, oral, listening and technical writing; ability to influence across matrix organizations

- Experience in Root Cause Analysis and Effective Corrective Action Implementation

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Flexible work arrangements and schedules (e.g., 4x10), 401(k) match, Paid time off, Holidays, Parental Leave, EAP, Flexible Spending Accounts, Education Assistance, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability.
  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
