Full Job Description
Standard Job Description

Manages multiple material expediting positions, management and support activities within various sections. These may include but not limited to, aviation tool room operations, HAZMAT management, Production Support Areas, Warehousing and Shipping. Over sees production systems integrity and drives inventory optimization to minimize cost. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Candidate will also serve as the department's Command Media SME and will participate in all Command Media creation, corrections, and updates.

Duties Will Include:
• First line leader for all Material Coordinators - Tool Room, PSA, Warehouse
• Manages and maintains Material Coordinator Schedule
• Manages the Material Purchase request process for all tooling
• Responsible for all disciplinary and Union actions for Material Coordinators
• Answer all IPARs concerning the Tool Room and PSAs
• Answer all Out of Tolerance reports for calibrated tools
• Maintain a broken tool reconciliation program
• Maintain the calibration program
• Perform periodic audits on tool room and warehouse processes
• Assist in the tool room and warehouse when necessary
• Interface with Production Operations Leadership on all matters concerning floor support
• Cross train all Material Coordinators to be functional in both the Tool Room and the warehouse
• Serve as the department's Command Media SME and will participate in all Command Media creation, corrections, and updates
• Train all new Material Coordinator employees
• Assist with hiring on all Material Coordinator requisitions
• Manage Production Site Area (PSA) audits for material and HAZMAT

Basic Qualifications
• Prior L code or leadership experience
• In depth knowledge of aircraft tool room operations
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Experience in a production environment
• Ability to work independently
• Proven advanced problem solving skills
• Knowledge of production control processes
• Familiar aviation tools and tool room processes
• Proven communication skills to both internal and external customers
• Ability to learn ERP systems, specifically SAP
• Experience working in a schedule driven environment
• Inventory management experience
• Experience managing HAZMAT

Desired Skills
• SAP experience
• TCMAX experience
• GOLD and/or ELMS experience
• Familiar with LM Command Media
• Prior crew chief or experience with aircraft maintenance
• Experience on the SOF GLSS contract, at the fixed wing facilities is a plus
• Experience supporting aircraft modification installation operations
• Production Planning and Control experience
• Advance Microsoft Excel skills

Pay Information

GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $90600.00 - $168200.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): $81500.00 - $151300.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): $72500.00 - $134600.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas-Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): $65200.00 - $121200.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Camden, AR; Lexington, KY; Ocala, FL; Lufkin, TX; etc.

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
