Full Job Description
There is a $5,000 relocation or sign on bonus for this role! The pay range for this position is $30.00-$50.00 based on direct and relevant experience. RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our team. As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologist, you'll have the opportunity to work on three MRI platforms to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. This is a full-time position working various shifts between the hours of 6:30am-10:00pm Monday-Friday (no call and willing to train); includes Saturday rotation (day shift). This position has the opportunity to work three 12-hour shifts, typically 8:00am-8:00pm, for more work/life balance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (90%) Patient MRI Imaging 1 Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure 2 Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned 3 Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeated scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure 4 Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed 5 Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS) 6 Maintains an orderly and clean work area including sanitized equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members 7 Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use 8 Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements (5%) MRI Department Support 1 Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades 2 Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary 3 Assists in the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable (5%) Completes other tasks as assigned Required: 1 High School diploma, or equivalent 2 Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography 3 ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need 4 Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable 5 Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification 6 Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently 7 Certification in imaging specialty Preferred: 1 Bilingual We offer benefits (based on eligibility) including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401k with company match, life and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance, pet insurance, PTO and holiday pay and many more!
