Full Job Description
The pay range for this position is $30.00-$49.06 based on direct and relevant experience. There is a $5,000 relocation or sign on bonus for this role! RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Tech to join our float team. As a Float MRI Technologist, you'll perform high-quality MRI scans across multiple sites, gaining experience with a variety of MRI scanners while partnering with diverse care teams. This position is fulltime working a variety of shifts between the hours of 6:30am-10:30pm, includes float and shift differential pay and mileage (no call); includes weekend rotation. Part-time (30-39 hours per week, benefit eligible) is also available. Willing to train! ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (90%) Patient MRI Imaging 1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure 2. Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned 3. Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeated scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure 4. Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed 5. Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS) 6. Maintains an orderly and clean work area including sanitized equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members 7. Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use 8. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements (5%) MRI Department Support 1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades 2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary 3. Assists in the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable (5%) Completes other tasks as assigned Required: 1. High School diploma, or equivalent 2. Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography 3. ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need 4. Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable 5. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification 6. Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently 7. Certification in imaging specialty Preferred: 1.
