Position SummaryThe Corporate Assistant Controller is an integral part of the accounting/finance team. The
Corporate Assistant Controller will support the daily operation of the division's accounting
functions. The Corporate Assistant Controller will handle a wide variety of responsibilities
including handling issues relating to general operations, assisting with preparation of financial
statements and reports, monthly and year-end closings, account reconciliations, and all other
accounting functions. As part of this role, the Corporate Assistant Controller will provide
supervision and oversight of payroll.
Position Responsibilities- Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare and review financial statements and management reports
- Analyze variances and provide actionable insights
- Ensure GAAP compliance
- Support forecasting and budgeting
- Support audits
- Payroll Oversight & Compliance
- Oversee multi-site payroll operations
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
- Review payroll journal entries and reconciliations
- Maintain payroll internal controls
- Ensure regulatory compliance
- Operational Accounting
- Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts
- Responsible for managing fixed assets
- Maintain costs of direct ship products
- Work with Plant Assistant Controllers to drive process improvements
QualificationsBasic Qualifications- Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field from accredited college or university.
- Minimum six (6) years accounting or business-related experience.
- Proven knowledge of financial statements, journal entries, and GAAP.
- Proven increase of responsibility in prior work experience
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Documented history developing and maintaining positive working relationships in a multi-stakeholder culture.
- Ability to deliver results while working in a team focused environment.
- Excellent communication skills; verbal and written.
- Must be ablet to travel by car/plane to manufacturing sites.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in manufacturing accounting.
- Microsoft D365 experience
