Mobility and Safety Market Leader

HDR is looking for a Mobility and Safety Market Leader to join our North Carolina Transportation Business Group. In the role of Mobility and Safety Market Leader, we'll count on you to: • Serve as a client manager and project manager for key clients in the area. • Identify and qualify pursuit opportunities. • Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of key projects to support a positive client experience. • Assess the marketplace and determining the best approach to secure contracts. • Promote the marketing and delivery of all HDR services to clients. • Develop and implement market sector growth initiatives in partnership with leadership and client service managers. • Work with pursuit teams to develop clients and pursuit strategies based on proven capture techniques. • Participate in industry associations and community organizations to elevate HDR's brand in target markets. • Identify key investments (talent, acquisitions and technology) to improve our industry leadership position. • Develop relationships with senior leadership in key client organizations. • Partner with leadership on recruiting key talent. • Monitor market sector performance indicators, including NFE, NFB, profits, positive equity, AR, losses and investments. • Achieve Area Market Sector NFB Goals. • Engage the appropriate project management and technical talent in pursuit teams. • Support Pursuit teams in developing persuasive proposal and interview materials. • Support/Perform quality reviews of proposal and interview materials. • Facilitate debriefs to identify improvement opportunities and to measure overall competitiveness. • Recognize and celebrate pursuit successes and milestones. • Support the development of content marketing campaigns to strengthen our brand, increase our visibility, and showcase our thought leaders. • Serve in the lead technical role in detailed development of Signal, Signing, Pavement Marking, Traffic Control, and/or ITS for highway projects. • Serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization that resolves problems of greater scope and complexity. • Perform quality assurance checks on transportation projects. • Assume some project management duties as needed. • Perform other duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering, planning or a related field • Professional Engineer (PE) license • Experience working with NCDOT • Preference will be given to local candidate • Experienced in development and management of strategic marketing programs for planning and/or engineering service • Experienced in development and management of a wide range of client relationships and specific program and/or project pursuit • Experienced in overall staff development to include recruiting, career path and professional growth • Experienced with industry associations and maintains a visible profile in the market sector *LI-SM1 Qualifications Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience • A minimum of 10 years experience • Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role • Strong communication and listening skills • Ability to handle multiple assignments • Good leadership and organizational skills • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
