This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.

As part of a hardworking team of specialists, and engineers, you will help to coordinate the schedule and priorities of design work for various fluids and propulsion systems. You will share in the teams impact on all aspects of the fluids overall strategy.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • As a Fluids Technical Project Manager you will manage the project schedule, work breakdown, and cost and coordinate schedules to integrate fluids development with the overall program.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the program to track drawing release, manufacturing, and integration on the vehicle.
  • Create project management plans and support the team with other guiding artifacts.
  • Present status, risks, variances, and recovery plans to program management.
  • Track technical performance measures to support the development team in meeting defined performance goals.

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Mathematics, or related disciplines

  • 4+ years of experience planning and managing projects/programs including managing priorities, scope, schedule, integration, and cost.

  • Experience with critical path scheduling, IMS, risk management, and Cost Account Management

  • Experience with Agile project management methodology and JIRA software

  • Experience with P6 Primavera, MS Project, or similar scheduling software packages

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment while regularly providing imaginative and detailed solutions to complex problems

  • Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skill

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA degree or equivalent experience

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience

  • Proficient with MS Excel capabilities

  • Experience leading complex highly integrated products

  • Experience with Windchill PLM

  • Experience with cryogenic liquid, gas distribution, and propulsion systems

  • Experience with cryogenic valves and pumps
