Full Job Description
Job Description

Strategic ACI is seeking a Mission Engagement Engineer to support mission engineering activities for a Digital Engineering Ecosystem (DEE) supporting NGA. This role works within the Domain Engineering & SME swimlane, bridging mission stakeholders (intelligence and threat analysis, operational and kill web analysis, GIS applications) with the program's digital engineering and MBSE teams.

The Mission Engagement Engineer translates mission needs into mission threads, measures of performance/effectiveness (MoPs/MoEs), and model-based artifacts, supporting the program's effort to link mission engineering activities directly into the enterprise Digital Twin. This role supports engineering assignments in conformance with program specifications and ensures assigned tasks are completed within estimated time frames and budget constraints.

Salary will be commensurate within the advertised range, based on applicable qualifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the mission engineering plan, mission threads, and associated measures of performance and effectiveness (MoPs/MoEs) in coordination with mission stakeholders and the DE/MBSE Engineer.
  • Support preparation of SysML models representing mission engineering workflows, ensuring interoperability with MBSE and Modeling, Simulation & Analysis (MS&A) tools.
  • Coordinate with intelligence and threat analysis, mission engineering, operational and kill web analysis, and GIS application stakeholders to capture mission requirements and translate them into engineering artifacts.
  • Support model interoperability efforts linking mission engineering data with the broader MBSE/MS&A tool chain and enterprise Digital Thread.
  • Contribute to expansion of mission thread support and tracing of external mission threads as the ecosystem integrates additional NGA and external mission stakeholders in later Releases.
  • Support delivery of the repository of mission engineering data, including mission threads and MoPs/MoEs, as a Release-based deliverable.
  • Participate in Release demonstrations and sprint reviews to present mission engineering progress to government stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to pass a CI polygraph within 30 days.
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related field, or additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 4+ years of experience supporting mission engineering, operations analysis, or systems engineering activities within the IC or DoD.
  • Familiarity with mission thread development and measures of performance/effectiveness (MoPs/MoEs) methodologies.
  • Ability to translate mission and operational requirements into technical and model-based artifacts in coordination with engineering teams.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work across mission and technical stakeholder groups.

Desired:

  • Experience supporting NGA, DoD, or Intelligence Community mission engineering or operations analysis programs.
  • Familiarity with SysML, UAF, or other MBSE modeling approaches.
  • Exposure to Modeling, Simulation & Analysis (MS&A) tools such as AFSIM, STK, or Unreal Engine, or geospatial platforms such as ArcGIS.
  • Familiarity with intelligence and threat analysis, operational/kill web analysis, or related mission domains.
  • Experience supporting Agile/Scrum delivery environments tracked in Confluence/Jira.
