Who We Are

The Military Operations Specialist 4 serves as the Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) Integration Lead for the Navy Integration Training Environment (NITE) program, operating onsite at Marine Corps Base Quantico, VA. This position supports Naval Surface Warfare Center Corona (NSWC-Corona) in the planning, coordination, and delivery of integrated LVC training for the United States Marine Corps.

In this role, the Specialist provides senior-level operational expertise in the development, design, and execution of LVC-supported training events. The position requires advanced knowledge of simulation systems, platform integration, and LVC architectures to ensure seamless interoperability across training environments.

The Military Operations Specialist 4 leads mission coordination activities and engages regularly with senior Military, Government, and Contractor stakeholders.

This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to translate training objectives into executable LVC events, and excellent communication skills to ensure alignment across diverse technical and operational teams.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as NSWC-Corona's LVC technical and operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) in support of LVC training events.
  • Communicate with leadership on any technical or operational issues and new requirements.
  • Assist in leveraging LVC capabilities and strategies that align with goals of the training program.
  • Oversee implementation of new systems and upgrades to existing systems, ensuring they meet technical standards and training requirements.
  • Work with the Marine Enterprise Training Network (MTEN) and Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) local and remote operators and engineers, and external Joint Live Virtual Constructive (JLVC) teams to coordinate and plan systems and personnel support for events.
  • Adjust daily working hours occasionally to match times zones around the world where events are occurring.
  • Occasional travel is required in support of event planning conferences.
  • Use Confluence and JIRA collaborating tools to share event schedules, documents, and after-action reports.
  • Identify, document, report, and track issues, while keeping appropriate technical personnel, NSWC- Corona, BSC leadership, and other stakeholders informed of status.


What You Must Have

  • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
  • Candidate must have experience developing and coordinating operational- and tactical-level training events, including integration of Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) training environments.
  • Candidate must have strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with Military, Government, and Contractor personnel.
  • Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related productivity tools.
  • Candidate must be okay with occasional travel as required.
  • Candidate must currently hold and be able to maintain a US Secret clearance, with the ability to upgrade to a US Top Secret clearance if required.


Bonus Points For Having!

  • Prior military service leadership level highly desired.
  • Tactical Training Range operations and management.
  • Knowledge of Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) systems and operations.
  • Knowledge of Marine Constructive Suite, Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF) simulation or other HLA/DIS modeling tools.
  • USMC combat and training systems or Aviation combat and training systems.


Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
