Missile Defense System Architecture EngineerContingent upon prime contractor approval
Purpose:- Valkyrie Enterprises has need for a Missile Defense System Architecture Engineer in Huntsville, AL working in the Targets and Countermeasures program office.
- In this role you will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Architecture Validation team as an Architecture Assessment Engineer by developing and enhancing the QlikSense-based Capability Gap Tracker tool.
Job Description:- Deliver direct support to the Architecture Validation Team within MDA's Chief Architect's Office.
- Assist in the development and management of the QlikSense-based Capability Gap Tracker (CGT) tool, to include reviewing, updating, and organizing gaps and threat.
- Develop dashboards and data visualizations within the CGT to support reporting, analysis, and architecture decision-making.
- Work closely with other MDA organizations to help them understand and leverage the CGT while gaining insight into elements that make up the missile defense system.
- Engage with cross-functional teams and Capability Gap Tracker users to identify reporting needs and deliver data-driven solutions that improve decision support capabilities.
Qualifications:- Must have a Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field and at least 3+ years of experience supporting missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD programs/projects.
- Must have experience working with and analyzing large data sets.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Desired Qualifications:- Active TS/SCI Clearance, preferred.
- Working knowledge of Missile Defense Systems (MDS) components, architectures, concepts, and threats, with demonstrated understanding through analysis activities, preferred.
- Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools such as QlikSense, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms, preferred.
- Working knowledge of Systems Engineering processes including Model-Based Systems Engineering and Digital Engineering strategies, preferred.
- Experience with Digital Engineering tools and platforms such as Cameo, Palantir, or similar technologies, preferred.
Security Requirements:- Must have an Active Secret clearance and the ability to maintain it.
Travel Requirements:- Minimal Travel; 10% or less
- If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods
