Job Overview

Schaeffler, a global automotive and industrial supplier, is seeking a Mining Specialist, in Eastern Wyoming and Southern Montana, to grow industrial aftermarket mining sales of bearings, lubrication, services, maintenance tools and condition monitoring products.

Schaeffler Mining Specialists are mining and mineral processing professionals respected for their expertise, problem-solving and service to the industry. They are a critical part of our mining industry team that creates differentiation with excellent service and engineered solutions. Mining Specialists are trusted advisors, offering sound advice and implementing practical solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Grow mining & mineral processing sales in assigned territory
  • Relationship development at end-users, repair shops, contractors & engineering firms
  • Create engagement with maintenance, reliability, operations and purchasing to build trust and credibility
  • Understand and integrate with customer's operations to identify & solve problems
  • Apply Schaeffler products and capabilities to improve customer's operations
  • Identify market needs and help champion development of products and services
  • In-field technical support; troubleshooting, failure analysis, training, installation support
  • Map equipment, bearings, processes and operations
  • Interface end user needs with sales team and distributors


Your Qualifications

  • Fluent in mining and mineral processing industry; processes, equipment and bearing applications
  • Mechanical and technical aptitude required, BSME or related degree preferred
  • Technical field experience; maintenance, engineering, troubleshooting, failure analysis
  • Effective professional communicator, written and verbal
  • Excellent presentation skills, both creation and delivery
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications and ability to learn new software
  • Efficient time management
  • Self-directed and focused, with a proven ability to map out and achieve goals
  • Collaborative leadership, driving results through influence
  • Intrinsic curiosity to seek knowledge, develop and grow
  • External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment VISA or other sponsorship


Requires:
  • Safely walking large industrial sites, including stairs, ladders, and obstacles
  • Regularly lifting and carrying 50lbs
  • Working long hours standing, outdoors and in difficult conditions
  • Regularly driving long distances within region and a good driving record
  • 50% overnight travel
