Description
CAE is seeking a Project Manager to lead the successful execution of one or more Defence & Security programs. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing projects from initiation through completion, ensuring contractual commitments, schedule requirements, operational objectives, and financial targets are achieved.
Responsibilities include:
Independently manage one or multiple projects from initiation through closeout.
Manage financial and operational resources to fulfill contractual obligations while maintaining project profitability.
Develop and execute project management plans for complex projects.
Provide day-to-day leadership and coordination of cross-functional matrix teams.
Support proposal development activities related to project management, cost, schedule, and execution planning.
Direct one or more Defence & Security programs involving resource planning, scheduling, subcontract management, and project execution activities.
Apply organizational project management policies, processes, procedures, and best practices.
Share project management knowledge and best practices with colleagues.
Participate in the negotiation of subcontract agreements and workshare arrangements.
Address project scope, resource, or schedule challenges through effective planning and prioritization.
Serve as the primary point of contact with customers regarding project execution, negotiations, and acceptance activities.
Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, stakeholders, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Represent customer requirements and priorities throughout the project lifecycle.
Support technical, cost, and schedule planning associated with proposal activities.
Develop and maintain project work breakdown structures (WBS).
Identify opportunities for contract amendments that support customer requirements and project objectives.
Participate in organizational initiatives and continuous improvement activities as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or another related technical discipline.
Non-technical undergraduate degrees may be considered with relevant experience.
Ability to meet requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
Eligibility to comply with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements.
Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 25% of the time.
Flexibility to collaborate with stakeholders across multiple time zones.
Strong project planning, organization, and prioritization skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French.

Preferred Qualifications
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Candidates not currently PMP certified should be willing and eligible to obtain certification within twelve months of hire.
Experience leading complex projects or programs within the Defence, Aerospace, or Security sectors.
Experience managing subcontractors, contract deliverables, and customer relationships.
Experience working within matrix organizations and cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of project financial management, budgeting, and profitability tracking.
