Full Job Description
We are seeking a mid-level associate with 3-6 years of experience to join the Trademark & Copyright group. This position can be based in our Boston or New York office.
Responsibilities:
Provide U.S. and foreign trademark search opinions, prepare and file trademark applications, and respond to office actions
Assist in all aspects of U.S. and foreign trademark portfolio management, including managing and advising on renewals, maintenance, and ownership conveyances
Correspond with foreign counsel on trademark filings, office actions, and other prosecution matters
Advise and prepare documents for agreements and litigation matters
Participate in oppositions, cancellations, and other related proceedings with the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board
Perform diligence reviews, domain watches, trademark watches and legal research
Qualifications:
A JD from an ABA-accredited law school
Admitted to or eligible for admission in Massachusetts or New York.
3-6 years of experience with trademark matters, including domestic and international clearance, prosecution, and enforcement
Previous experience preparing and responding to cease-and-desist letters and handling other enforcement matters
Demonstrated skills in public presentation, writing articles, and active marketing and business development
Excellent writing skills, strong academic credentials, business acumen, and strong interpersonal and communication skills
The expected salary range for this position is $245,000 - $360,000 annually. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
