RDQ is seeking an Engineer III to join our growing teams. You will work with a dynamic team on transmission and distribution line design projects, including 3-D modeling, structural design, construction package development, routing studies, field investigations and more.

DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?

We are on the hunt for self-motivated Engineers who are intentionally seeking an opportunity to work side by side with our project team on high, medium and low voltage utility projects. You'll get to work on various aspects of transmission and distribution line design, including 3-D modeling, structure design, construction package development, routing studies, field investigations and more with clients across the country. You will have the opportunity to see a project you've worked on all the way through to the construction phase, which means that travel to client sites will be required (and

that excites you!)

A DAY IN THE LIFE MIGHT INCLUDE:

  • Planning, directing, and coordinating civil/structural engineering design activities for the construction of electric transmission line facilities for one of our clients
  • Leading technical design efforts and ensuring quality, constructability and compliance with client standards.
  • Coordinating a project schedule and budget performance
  • Supporting the development of a contracts, technical specification, or drawing bid package for new clients
  • Meeting with a client to maintain build and grow the relationship
  • Providing technical assistance and training for one of our entry level engineers
  • Interacting with staff, the general public, or officials and contractors
  • Preparing a reports or working on a special project


WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering from an A.B.E.T. Accredited School
  • 5+ years of experience in utility work preferred
  • Experience in distribution design is a plus!
  • Proficiency in PLS-CADD required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • EIT certification is required
  • High ethical and professional standards
