Full Job Description
We are seeking a senior leader to build and lead the enterprise S&OP capability within Supply Chain Planning.

This leader will manage a team responsible for establishing a common S&OP and risk-management mechanism across the business. The team will connect the plan with the multiple execution layers of the organization, ensuring material risks are identified early, scenarios are evaluated, trade-offs are understood, decisions are made at the appropriate level, and actions are driven to closure.

This role will also help define the digital evolution of S&OP. The successful candidate will partner with Product, Data, Analytics, and Technology teams to move S&OP from a largely human-orchestrated process toward an increasingly automated, exception-based, and intelligence-driven decision system. This includes integrating signals across systems, automating risk identification, enabling scenario modeling, and applying advanced analytics and AI to improve the speed, quality, and scalability of supply chain decisions.

The ideal candidate combines strong supply chain planning fundamentals, business judgment, analytical capability, technology orientation, and cross-functional leadership. They must be comfortable operating in ambiguity, challenging assumptions, simplifying complex problems, and influencing senior leaders across Supply Chain, Technology, Finance, Procurement, Operations, and customer organizations.

This is not a traditional reporting or meeting-management role. The successful candidate will build S&OP into a forward-looking enterprise decision mechanism that improves decision quality, business predictability, prioritization, and customer outcomes.

Key job responsibilities

- Lead and develop a team responsible for Enterprise S&OP/IBP, risk management, scenario planning, and cross-functional orchestration

- Establish and continuously improve the S&OP operating model connecting Plan with the multiple execution layers of the organization.

- Create a single, forward-looking view of material demand, supply, inventory, capacity, supplier, and customer risks, translating signals into prioritized decision points.

- Lead scenario analysis and evaluate trade-offs across customer service, inventory, cost, capacity, and business priorities.

- Establish escalation and decision mechanisms that enable leaders to focus on material risks and exceptions rather than status reporting.

- Ensure S&OP decisions translate into clear ownership, actions, timelines, and measurable closure across cross-functional teams.

- Define performance mechanisms that measure risk aging, decision effectiveness, mitigation progress, and customer delivery predictability.

- Partner with Product, Data, Analytics, and Technology teams to define the digital roadmap for S&OP, including signal integration, risk intelligence, scenario modeling, automation, and decision-support capabilities.

- Identify where fragmented systems, data defects, or manual processes require humans to act as integration layers and drive scalable solutions to eliminate these dependencies.

- Advance the use of analytics and AI to automate risk identification, prioritize exceptions, identify root causes, and support scenario-based decision making.

- Build closed-loop mechanisms where execution constraints, decisions, and actual outcomes continuously improve future planning and risk management.

- Simplify redundant processes and governance mechanisms while developing scalable capabilities that support new businesses, products, geographies, and fulfillment models.

A day in the life

In this role, you may begin the day reviewing emerging demand, supply, inventory, and execution signals with your team and determining which risks require intervention. You may work with Demand and Supply Planning leaders to evaluate a constrained product, challenge assumptions behind a customer requirement, or quantify the service and inventory implications of alternative decisions.

Later, you may lead an S&OP review where the objective is not to review every metric, but to align leaders around a small number of material risks, scenarios, and decisions. Your team will then ensure those decisions are translated into actions across the appropriate execution layers and tracked through closure.

You may also spend time with Product or Technology teams defining how a manual planning activity can be automated, determining which signals should feed a risk model, or designing how scenario-planning capabilities should support future business decisions.

The role requires balancing today's operating needs with the longer-term goal of building a more scalable system where humans spend less time assembling information and more time making high-quality decisions.
