The Merchandising Strategy Lead will support the strategic growth across product categories by providing product-focused insights, analysis, and project management to the merchandising team. Key duties include:
• Leading the annual long range strategic planning process for the Merchandising and Supply Chain organization
• In collaboration with merchandising leads, leading deep dives on product strategies across wide range of categories (Mainline/Outlet; leather goods, footwear, ready-to-wear, jewelry, etc.) including competitive reviews, assessing product assortment architecture and mix, and ensuring global relevance
• Project managing key cross-functional initiatives to drive company’s goals and key business initiatives
The role requires a bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred), experience in management consulting with exposure to retail/merchandising, strong analytical and project management skills, and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively while thriving in dynamic environments.
A Day in the Life:
- Provide in-depth market and competitive insight to help inform and drive the growth agenda across a wide range of product categories.
- Work cross-functionally to provide consumer insights and deep dive analysis to understand drivers of the business across all product categories.
- Compile thoughtful, comprehensive industry analysis and identify key trends.
- Prepare executive- and Board-level documents to share insights and product strategies.
- Provide project management leadership for priority cross-functional initiatives to ensure alignment across all critical stakeholders and that we achieve the stated business outcomes.
- Establish trust-based relationships and communicate effectively with all audiences, including with senior Merchandising & Supply Chain leaders.
To Land This Role:
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in a Top Tier management consulting firm preferred. Experience working on projects in fashion or apparel business preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in retail, merchandising or consumer-facing businesses required.
- Creative and strategic thinker and problem-solver.
- Self-starter who thrives in ambiguous environments and adapts easily to change.
- Excellent project management and analytical skills.
- Highly analytical, detail oriented and have solid financial acumen.
- Strong verbal and written presentation skills including ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
- Able to work under pressure quickly, effectively and efficiently.
- Able to collaborate effectively and build relationships across all functions and levels within the organization.

Compensation Range
The compensation range for this position is 170,000.00 USD - 175,000.00 USD. Our offer will be based on your relevant experience and work location.
