Job Summary:The
Electrical Designer/ Engineer will work in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment. Our Electrical Designers focus primarily on the design of building related projects, including, apartment buildings, retail/commercial spaces, hospital and educational facilities using Revit and AutoCAD software.
In this role, you won't just design electrical systems for commercial buildings, you'll play a key role in bringing ambitious ideas to life as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team.
In this role, you will:- Develop electrical distribution and emergency generator system designs and documentation in AutoCAD/Revit.
- Understanding and design of lighting systems, electrical, and fire alarm systems.
- Perform electrical load calculations and select and size equipment
- Edit electrical system specifications
- Survey existing buildings and identify electrical systems and components
- Review submittals of equipment for compliance with the contract documents
- Observe and report upon electrical construction work in progress
- Interact with project team members and leaders
You will be a great fit if:- You have an Associates or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology program (or similar) is a plus.
- You have 3+ years of experience in design of electrical systems for various types of facilities.
- You have design experience in commercial, residential and institutional projects.
- You have hands-on experience with latest versions of AutoCAD and REVIT, MS Office, Outlook, and engineering calculation and performance simulation software.
