Salary Range: $95,000 - $115,000
About the RoleAmphenol Fiber Systems is seeking a Mendix Application Developer to design, develop, maintain, and enhance custom enterprise applications supporting our manufacturing and business operations.
This position will focus primarily on the Mendix low-code development platform, with additional responsibilities involving Microsoft SQL Server, database integration, business process automation, and ERP systems.
The developer will work closely with internal departments to translate operational requirements into practical, reliable software solutions that improve efficiency, data accessibility, process visibility, and accountability.
This is a hands-on application development position involving both front-end application development and back-end database programming. The individual will help expand our existing application environment while developing new solutions that integrate with our manufacturing ERP system and SQL Server data warehouse.
What You'll Do1. Mendix Application Development
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications using Mendix Studio Pro.
- Develop application pages, domain models, microflows, nanoflows, business logic, and workflows.
- Create user-friendly interfaces, including interactive data grids, forms, and document-management features.
- Implement role-based security, user permissions, input validation, and business rules.
- Troubleshoot application issues, optimize performance, and maintain existing production applications.
- Enhance existing systems based on employee feedback, changing business requirements, and operational needs.
2. SQL Server Development & Database Integration
- Develop and maintain Microsoft SQL Server queries, stored procedures, views, and database objects.
- Design relational database structures and manage relationships between application and ERP data.
- Develop efficient SQL solutions to retrieve, transform, validate, and process business information.
- Optimize database performance through query improvements, indexing, and efficient data-processing techniques.
- Integrate Mendix applications with SQL Server databases and enterprise data sources.
- Support data synchronization between our ERP system, SQL Server data warehouse, and Mendix applications.
- Investigate and resolve data integrity, synchronization, and performance issues.
3. Business Process Automation & ERP Integration
- Develop applications that automate internal manufacturing and administrative processes.
- Support workflows involving customer service, engineering, production, planning, procurement, inventory, and quality.
- Develop solutions that utilize data originating from our EvoERP manufacturing system.
- Automate repetitive processes, approval workflows, task assignments, and operational notifications.
- Build tools for tracking work progress, identifying bottlenecks, and improving process accountability.
- Support modernization of existing manual, spreadsheet-based, and disconnected business processes.
4. Application Support & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain and enhance applications actively used by company personnel.
- Troubleshoot user-reported issues and implement corrective improvements.
- Test new functionality and validate changes before production deployment.
- Support application deployment, version control, and release management within our on-premises environment.
- Document technical solutions, database logic, and application processes.
- Work with business users to identify improvement opportunities and develop scalable solutions.
- Provide ongoing technical support and application enhancements as business needs evolve.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications:- Experience developing business applications using Mendix or a comparable enterprise application development platform.
- Working knowledge of relational databases and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Ability to write and troubleshoot SQL queries, joins, stored procedures, and views.
- Understanding of application architecture, data modeling, and software development fundamentals.
- Experience developing, testing, and supporting business applications.
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional technical solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical personnel and nontechnical business users.
- Ability to independently complete assigned development tasks and support deployed applications.
Preferred Qualifications:- Direct experience with Mendix Studio Pro, including microflows, domain modeling, security, and deployment.
- Experience with manufacturing ERP systems and operational business processes.
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), ETL processes, and data warehousing.
- Experience with Actian Pervasive SQL or similar ERP databases.
- Experience with REST APIs, application integrations, and automated data synchronization.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, production planning, inventory management, and engineering workflows.
- Experience troubleshooting and optimizing application performance.
