KUOW has an outstanding opportunity for a Membership Manager to join their team.About this OpportunityReporting to the Director of Membership, the Membership Manager is responsible for developing and executing KUOW's annual giving and membership strategies to acquire, retain, engage, and upgrade donors in support of revenue goals and long-term donor loyalty. This position leads the planning and implementation of membership campaigns and donor journeys across multiple channels, including email, direct mail, on-air messaging, web, social media, and other digital platforms. Working collaboratively across the Audience & Revenue Group, the Membership Manager creates compelling donor communications, oversees membership benefits programs, drives monthly donor growth, and develops data-informed strategies that strengthen donor relationships and increase lifetime donor value.
Success in this position is demonstrated by sustained growth in membership revenue, donor retention, monthly giving, and donor upgrades through strategic, data-driven fundraising and engagement efforts. The position is responsible for programs which generate approximately $6-9 million annually from approximately 50,000 members to support the station’s operations and programming.
This position is based in Seattle and is eligible for hybrid/occasional telework.
Key Responsibilities- Member Cultivation, Stewardship, and Solicitation (55%). Lead the strategy and execution of annual giving programs that strengthen donor acquisition, retention, engagement, and revenue growth. Develop compelling multi-channel campaigns, donor communications, membership benefits, and data-driven stewardship initiatives that deepen loyalty, increase monthly giving, and encourage donor upgrades.
- Performance Reporting and Analysis (15%). Monitor, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of annual giving programs using key metrics such as donor retention, attrition, upgrades, and revenue performance. Provide actionable insights and recommendations that improve fundraising, donor services, and membership program outcomes.
- Technology and Training (15%). Optimize membership systems, procedures, and technology platforms to improve efficiency, donor experience, and organizational effectiveness. Leverage Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, and other digital tools to streamline operations, support fundraising goals, and ensure effective case management and staff collaboration.
- Events and In-Station Experiences (10%). Support donor cultivation and stewardship through meaningful events and in-station experiences that strengthen relationships with members and donors. Create engaging interactions that enhance donor satisfaction, connection, and long-term commitment to KUOW.
- Other Duties as Assigned (5%).

- A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, nonprofit management or related field.
- Three years' experience in fundraising, donor relations, or related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
- The candidate should have demonstrated success in developing and implementing donor/customer engagement strategies.
- Experience building and managing email marketing programs.
- Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce and Marketing Cloud).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced skills in data analysis and customer lifecycle optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications- Familiarity with public radio programming.
- Certification in nonprofit management or fundraising and experience with large-scale donor engagement strategies.
- Advanced skills in customer lifecycle management.
- Experience working with and managing vendors.
Working Conditions- Duties may occasionally require evening and weekend work when necessary to meet critical deadlines.
- Ability to travel when necessary to attend station events.
- Cubicle/Open workspace environment which may result in additional or higher levels of noise and visual distractions.
- Position is suitable/eligible for Hybrid/Occasional Telework.
- Ability to lift /move 20 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally for event setup and tear down. During Events (from setup to tear down) or on Event days:
- Ability to stand 4 or more hours continuously.
- Ability to walk 4 or more hours continuously.
- Ability to work greater than a 10-hour day

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details
Pay Range Minimum:
$70,608.00 annual
Pay Range Maximum:
$105,912.00 annual
