Work ShiftJob DescriptionRequired Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program with current licensure or eligibility for licensure in South Carolina.
- Currently licensed (or eligible) in the state of South Carolina as a Physician Assistant by the South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners or as a Nurse Practitioner with the SC Board of Nursing.
- Requires certification inBLS
- APRN or PA mustmaintainlicenses, certifications, CNEs/CMEs, etc. as required by applicable policies and state law - put this under required qualification
PositionHighlights:
- Monday -Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am - 12pm
- Evaluates and treatson the basis ofhistory, physical examination,radiological, laboratory, and other diagnostic test resultspursuant tothe practice agreement or scope of practice guideline
- Initiates referrals to other health care provides, and/or consults with the attending physician or the collaborating physician
- Documents and bills for direct care provided
- Potential to precept students at MUSC enrolled as an advanced practice provider student; andfacilitatesthe learning of other new team members
