As a Mechanical Test Engineer you will be responsible for;
- Leading the planning, coordination, and execution of development and verification testing for complex mechanical and aerospace systems.
- Designing test approaches, methodologies, and strategies that validate product performance against requirements and program objectives.
- Developing test procedures, test plans, work instructions, and engineering documentation to support product development activities.
- Supporting products throughout the development lifecycle, from early concepts and prototype builds through qualification and production readiness.
- Configuring and utilizing instrumentation and data acquisition systems to capture and analyze test results.
- Collecting, processing, and interpreting test data to support engineering assessments, design improvements, and technical decision-making.
- Collaborating closely with design, manufacturing, systems, and quality teams to ensure successful execution of development programs.
- Generating detailed technical reports and presentations that communicate test methods, results, observations, and recommendations.
- Supporting customer-driven initiatives, technical reviews, and program milestones while maintaining schedule and budget objectives.
- Participating in proposal efforts by providing technical input, test concepts, schedules, and risk assessments.
- Identifying technical issues during testing and driving root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Serving as a mentor and technical resource for junior engineers while promoting engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications;- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 4-7 years of experience supporting aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated engineering programs.
- Demonstrated experience leading development testing and supporting qualification or verification testing activities.
- Proficiency with test instrumentation, sensors, data acquisition systems, and test execution methodologies.
- Experience developing test plans, procedures, reports, and engineering documentation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data, identify trends, and provide engineering recommendations.
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems, product development processes, and engineering best practices.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams in a fast-paced development environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate technical findings.
- Demonstrated ownership, initiative, and ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting program objectives.
- Experience supporting requirements-driven environments with formal verification and validation processes.
- Knowledge of military and commercial engineering specifications preferred.
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.
Salary Range: $110,000 - $150,000Location: Onsite in Mukilteo, WAThe actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
