  • Ensure compliance with Process Safety Management standards for operational safety.

Full Job Description
Performance in Role:
  • Troubleshooting Technical Problems: Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for anticipating, recognizing and resolving technical (mechanical, electrical, systems or operational) problems.
  • Experience installing, troubleshooting, inspecting, and repairing industrial mechanical and rotating equipment such as Pumps, Compressors and Rotary Blowers
  • Experience with Predictive Maintenance techniques including vibration, infrared thermography and oil analysis
  • Knowledge of precision lubrication techniques
  • Experience with using Root Cause Failure Analysis methodologies
  • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance of industrial mechanical and rotating systems and equipment.
  • Demonstrates ability to use all precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators
  • Demonstrates ability to perform precision alignment of rotating equipment using lasers or dial indicators
  • Standards, Policies & Procedures: Knowledge of and ability to use and influence organization's policies, standards and procedures guiding operational or technical processes.
  • Information Capture: Knowledge of the processes and the ability to identify, capture and document relevant business information in an auditable, organized, understandable and easily retrievable manner.
  • Process Safety Management: Knowledge of Process Safety Management, which provides sufficient controls and/or redundancies to avoid a set of conditions that can lead to loss of containment of hazardous substances or uncontrolled energy releases.

Level of education & experience preferred:
  • Required HS diploma or equivalent. Preferred Associates Degree in engineering desired or equivalent study.
  • Alternatively, must have experience with Mechanical industrial maintenance as a journeyman mechanic, millwright, machinist, or field service technician.
  • Possess a minimum of ten (10) years experience in the maintenance of mechanical and rotating systems and equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledgeable of relevant API codes
  • Be able to use analytical processes (appraise a situation, develop supporting plans, make decisions, generate innovative ideas, analyse and troubleshoot mechanical issues).
  • Working knowledge of chemical/industrial equipment function, design, and regulatory requirements and Process Safety Management and ISO systems and procedures.
  • Functionality with various computer programs, specifically Microsoft Office Suite and CMMS (SAP).
  • Six Sigma training a plus.
