As part of our team you will have the opportunity to manage the hardware components within the Thrust Vector Control (TVC) group. As a component Hardware Owner, or Certified Principle Engineer (CPE) delegate, you will be empowered to develop technical solutions, work with our subcontract partners, and be the technical lead of Servo Actuators and Gas Hydraulic Assemblies throughout different phases of the product life-cycle (qualification, production, service support, aging, etc.)

AS A VALUED MEMBER OF OUR TEAM YOU WILL:
- Develop technical requirements and engineering documentation

- Lead investigations

- Provide project budget management including collaboration with subcontract management to provide technical support

- Contribute to new business trade studies

- Enhance cross discipline product development

- Participate in mentorship opportunities and professional development

- Be the technical interface to FBM management, systems engineering, quality, and our Navy counterparts.

Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.

Basic Qualifications

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Any combination of experience in: engineering project management, supplier management, annual budget proposals, technical evaluations, tracking and/or development of cost/schedule
• Exposure to or participation with failure investigations, root cause analysis, and/or corrective action disposition
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance

Desired Skills

Missile and/or aerospace related education or experience
- Experience with FBM processes and products
- Experience with CAD and hardware modeling tools (e.g. Pro-E/CREO, Matlab)
- Experience in gas/fluid dynamics or energetics/propellants
- Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
-Experience as CPE delegate or project lead
- Risk and opportunity experience with an understanding of continuous improvement concepts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated leadership and initiative

Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $79300.00 - $147300.00

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Flexible work arrangements and schedules (e.g., 4x10), 401(k) match, Paid time off, Holidays, Parental Leave, EAP, Flexible Spending Accounts, Education Assistance, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability.
  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
