What you'll do- Managing large and complex CAD assemblies
- Modeling Class A surfaces and boat interiors
- Releasing and designing structures
- Designing boat interiors (upholstery, glove box, storage lockers, etc)
- Designing marine systems (ballast, steering, bilge, coolant)
- Owning hardware from start to finish, including specifications, design, prototyping, testing, and high-volume manufacturing
- Supporting the industrial design of next generation products
- Interfacing with suppliers and contractors
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering field
- 2+ years of industry experience (internships count!)
- Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter
- Basic grasp of the fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering
- Willingness to provide hands on support with fabrication and assembly
- Ability to articulate and defend design decisions
Bonus Qualifications- Design for manufacturing experience with soft goods and composites fabrication
- Experience with composite structures (ideally fiberglass) and soft goods
- Experience with tool design
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Strong time management skills
- Comfortable pushing at a fast but sustainable pace
- Enthusiasm for boating and the water
